Book Release News

My second published book, HALT THE CARRIAGE Stories of Simpler Times, is now available. It is a compilation of three novellas and four short stories written at various times over the course of my life. I am excited to finally publish these stories! As the official description indicates:

Halt the Carriage is a book of compelling stories ranging across a broad literary spectrum, with themes touching on friendship, sacrifice, childbirth, betrayal, and death set on seven different stages, spanning from the year 1900 to the mid-1980s. Sharing common themes of compassion and fortitude under fire, set in bygone days when empathy was real, and when an act of courage wasn’t something that one boasted about, but rather, it was simply what one did with quiet dignity because it was the right thing to do.

It is available as a Kindle eBook, paperback (printed by IngramSpark which distributes through various booksellers, or Amazon), hardcover with dust jacket (printed by IngramSpark and distributed through various booksellers including Amazon), and as an audiobook (which may be obtained through Audible, Apple Books, and Amazon). The audio version is read by James McClain, the same talented voice actor who narrated the audiobook of my previously published novel, HUNTERS OF THE DAWN.

HALT THE CARRIAGE may be purchased online from booksellers by searching for the title on the website of your preferred book retailer, e.g., Vintage Books, Beach Books, White Oak Books, ThriftBooks, AbeBooks, Bookshop.org, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, etc.

Reviews posted by readers of HALT THE CARRIAGE (and of HUNTERS OF THE DAWN) are always much appreciated. Posting a review—on booksellers’ sites like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Powell’s, and other sites offering an opportunity to do so—are a great way for you to provide meaningful guidance for others who likewise share a love for reading and literature. Any review should of course reflect your sincere and unbiased opinion, be it positive or negative. If you feel the inclination to post a review but perhaps haven’t done one before, a quick study of the guidelines provided on the bookseller’s site for posting reviews can help make the process feel less intimidating, and also make sure that the review that you went to all the trouble to write actually gets published by your preferred bookseller. (Amazon, as one example, lists its rules and guidance for reviews in the “Community Guidelines” section of its website.)

Of course, any comments, questions, or other input may also be directed to me via my author email. Just write to: [email protected]. I’d love to hear from you!

I sincerely hope you enjoy this new book.
